Weekly holidays – 7 nights, 14 nights, 21 nights
You can book one week or more anytime to suit you. The changeover day is Friday.
Short Breaks – 3-6 nights
Prices are based on a percentage of the full weekly rate for that time of year, 3 nights- 75%, 4 nights -85%, 5 nights -90% and 6 nights -95%. Please contact owners (Andrew and Janet) for details.
Christmas and New Year
The changeover days may vary each year for these two popular weeks, the correct holiday start dates are shown on the availability search ‘date’ dropdown.
Changeover Days, Arrivals, Key Collection & Departure
- Changeover day is Friday (mostly)
- When full payment is made for your holiday, the owner will provide directions and key collection instructions.
- Unless otherwise stated in your holiday confirmation, you are welcome to arrive at your property from 3.00pm on the start day and must vacate by 10.00am on the day of departure. It may be possible for you to arrive at an earlier time so please ask the owner.
- You are responsible for everyday cleaning and must leave the property clean and tidy.
Terms of Payment
Please note if you make a provisional booking online via the owners website, the booking is only confirmed when the owner contacts you to say so. Bookings ard not firm until owner confirms.
Confirming your Booking
A deposit of £50 per week is required to confirm your booking. Please pay by BACS or cheque made out to Sheila Bull. Account details will be given for BACS payment. Paypal invoice is possible however this will incur an extra charge. For bookings where there is transfer and conversion fees (for foreign currency) the owner does not pay these fees. Balance is due 4 weeks before let begins.
If you are booking within 4 weeks of your holiday, payment must be made in full when confirming your holiday. Please note your holiday is not confirmed until you have received either an email or written confirmation from the owner and she reserves the right to refuse any booking before she has issued the holiday confirmation letter.
Your booking is made as a consumer and you agree that the owner will not accept liability for expenses, costs, losses, claims or other sums that relate to any business however so suffered or incurred by you. You must be over 18 years of age at the time of making your booking.
As soon as you receive the holiday confirmation letter, you must check it carefully. Any errors must be reported to the owner immediately.
Balance Payment
The balance of your holiday is due at least 4 weeks prior to holiday commencement. This can be paid by forwarding a cheque made out to Sheila Bull or by BACS payment. Non Payment of the final balance when it becomes due will constitute cancellation of the holiday and forfeiture of the deposit payment.
Cancellation
You can cancel your holiday up to 4 weeks before your holiday begins and deposit will be returned. Cancellation within 4 weeks of your holiday results in loss of deposit amount.
No - show- no monies returned
Pets
Yew Tree Cottage is pet friendly. There is NO charge for taking your pet on holiday.
A pet is accepted on the basis that no sign of the pet is evident on departure, in the house or garden. Please don’t leave your pet alone in the house or allow it into the bedrooms. Please bring a dog blanket if your pet is used to sitting on the furniture.
Any damage or extra cleaning costs will be charged for within 14 days of your departure.
